SALEM Well over 1 million Oregonians had
returned their mail ballots by Friday more than one-half the state's
registered voters in a pace that is outstripping that of the presidential race
four years ago.
The secretary of state's office reported that counties had
received almost 1.1 million ballots through Thursday, from 51 percent of
registered voters.
